With over 8 years of experience, my expertise focuses on second-life energy storage systems (ESS), Battery Management Systems (BMS), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations.
Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of clients, including global leaders like Rolls-Royce, Hyundai and Shell, as well as innovative SMEs like HweeJan, providing tailored solutions in energy storage optimization and battery management. Work Experience

Using retired EV batteries to develop and deploy high power EV charging system.
BMS customization and Energy management system development. Data monitoring system and SOH estimation.
Developed POC for mobile EV charging system. Developed backend and scheduling strategy wireless charging infra-structure.
I proposed AI based forecasting tool to quantify real-time updates to the Levelized Cost of Energy (e-LCOE), considering factors like fuel prices, inflation, and interest rates. Additionally, I developed and delivered the integration of hydrogen fuel cells and flow-battery assets, enhancing energy storage and sustainability.
From Aug 2021 to June 2022 in Singapore, developed an advanced energy controller to optimize the efficiency and performance of a Diesel-Electrical Railway System. The controller integrated both diesel and electric power sources to enhance operational sustainability and reduce energy consumption.
Successfully designed and delivered a custom microgrid controller integrating gas and diesel generators, energy storage, fuel cells, PV, and grid systems, with performance validation conducted on a 5MW testbed in Galieos, Germany.
